A dating app built on where people actually go. Approximate crossings, verified profiles, human moderation — never live location.
Passn is a complete social app rather than a swipe deck: discovery grounded in where you actually go, a real messenger behind every match, group rooms that work without matching at all, and privacy controls that are part of the data model rather than a settings screen bolted on at the end.
When you allow location access, Passn periodically records where you have been — but never precisely. Readings are indexed into hexagonal cells roughly 174 metres across to find candidates, and what gets stored for a crossing is the midpoint between you shifted by a random offset of up to 50 metres — never your own position. If another member's cells and yours line up in time and space, you become visible to each other as a crossing.
Today is a small, curated group of people surfaced once a day, drawn from your crossings and preferences. It exists to make the app finishable: you look, you decide, you get on with your day.
Profile verification asks you to complete a short liveness check with the front camera. It confirms that a live person is present and that the face matches your profile photos, then awards a badge other members can see. Verification is optional, and the check is used for that purpose alone.
Communities are moderated topic rooms — coffee, running, film, new in town — that you can join and leave freely. They give the app a low-pressure surface: you can be part of a conversation without any of the mechanics of dating, and leaving a room ends its access immediately, on the server.
passn.app/c/<room> opens it in the app.Nobody can message you before you both like each other. Once a match exists you get a complete conversation surface, plus one-to-one calling for when typing stops being enough.
Discovery, matching, messaging, calls, communities and stories all work without paying. Passn Plus and Passn Plus+ add reach and control. Prices are set per country by the App Store — you always see your local price before you confirm, and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Super likes are also sold as one-off packs for people who want more than their weekly allowance without a subscription. They are consumable purchases; nothing renews.
Subscriptions are managed in your Apple ID settings and can be cancelled at any time. Full terms, renewal timing and refund routing are in the subscription terms.
The iOS app is in final testing ahead of its App Store release. It is portrait-only, supports iOS system features such as Sign in with Apple, and ships with an in-app language switcher.
The interface ships in English and Turkish, with additional languages already prepared in the app’s string catalogue for later releases.
Planned after the iOS launch. There is no public beta yet; the App Store release comes first so support and moderation scale with a single platform.
